The investment opportunity
The Reitway Global Property Portfolio, is a retail fund that has been approved by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ARSN 603 098 773). The fund offers a seamless exposure to a portfolio of distribution-producing global real estate securities. The fund is a Australian domiciled, Australian dollar-denominated collective investment scheme investing in REITs and property-related securities. It has been approved by the South African Financial Services Board for sale to South African investors.
While the securities are largely located in the developed markets of North America, Europe, Australia and Asia, the fund does not exclude exposure to developing economies where compelling investment opportunities present themselves.
The fund’s primary objective is to generate high current income, however investors will reap the inherent benefits of capital appreciation that come with real estate assets. The portfolio may be invested in global real estate securities and property-related securities. The portfolio’s property exposure will always exceed 75%.

Unregulated funds may permit a greater degree of leverage than is permitted with regulated funds that are available to the general public in South Africa, which increases volatility and the risk of larger losses should the fund’s value decrease.
The Fund may contain shares or units in underlying funds that do not permit dealing every day. It is not possible to immediately assess the proper market price of these investments, as they will only be realisable on their dealing days.
A fund of fund collective investment scheme only invests in other collective investments, which levy their own charges. The fees charged within the Fund and by the managers of the underlying funds are not guaranteed and are subject to change thereby impacting the Fund’s performance. Commissions and incentives may be paid and, if so, would be included in the overall costs. Deductions of charges and expenses mean that you may not get back the amount you invested.
